Alternaleaf consultations are not bulk billed and cannot be claimed through Medicare.
Pharmaceuticals benefits scheme
Your medication is not included in the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). This means that costs are fully covered by the patient or another party, and are not subsidised by the government.
Private Health insurance claims
Many private health insurance providers cover some or all of the costs of alternative medicine, however this varies between insurers and plans.
You’ll need to contact your private health insurance provider to find out if you can claim any benefits through them for your specific medication and insurance plan.
Receipts
You can download an itemised receipt for any previous orders through our partners at uMeds. This also includes the information required for most private health insurance claims.
To do so, follow the steps below:
- Login to your Patient Portal.
- Select “View orders” from the homepage or left navigation menu.
- Find the order you would like a receipt for and select “View receipt”.
This will open a PDF document which can be downloaded directly onto your device.
