Ordering process

After your consultation with an Alternaleaf doctor, your prescription is automatically uploaded into your patient portal. Here you can create a new order, view your order history, track current orders and download order receipts. 

For any new prescriptions, you may need to wait for TGA approval before your first order can be processed. As long as you have remaining repeats and an active prescription, you can order more medication through your patient portal.  

Once your order has been paid, it’s sent from the warehouse to the pharmacy for dispensing. It’s then picked up by our delivery partner StarTrack Premium and delivered to your nominated address. You can expect to receive your order within 5-10 business days from the date of payment.

 

Creating an order

To create an order, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Patient Portal.

  2. Select “Create Order” from the homepage or left navigation menu.

  3. In the order medication screen, you can add and remove items from your cart. You can do this by selecting and deselecting the checkbox to the right of the relevant product.

  4. You’ll see a dropdown for each product where you can choose the number of units you would like to order.



  5. Once you're happy with your order summary, select “Proceed to checkout”.

  6. You’ll then be taken to the checkout page to complete payment.

 

 

Out of stock

If your medication is out of stock, we can arrange a replacement prescription for you. This is a one-off prescription for an alternative medication, to help get you through until your regular medication is back in stock.

To request a replacement prescription, please follow the steps below.

  1. Login to your patient portal.

  2. Select “Create Order” from the navigation menu.

  3. In the order medication screen, select the dropdown “Can’t order now”.



  4. There will be a message stating your medication is “Out of stock”.

  5. Select the option “Check product status”.



  6. Choose “Request Alternative Product”.



  7. Once completed, the button will be greyed out and changed to “Alternative product requested”. 

Replacement prescriptions still need to be authorised by your doctor, which can be done without the need of a consultation. Please allow up to 5 business days for authorisation.

You will be notified via email once your replacement prescription is uploaded.
